FAQs for CLIENTS and PROS

Both CLIENTS and PROS are considered members. As a ProHomeMatch.com PRO member who does professional services you can apply to be verified based on the information you provided in your PRO form.

How ProHomeMatch.com works

How is ProHomeMatch.com different than advertising services?
First we are not an advertising service. We are a referral service. You pay for advertising--whether it works or not. Here, you pay for a real job. A referral is when you literally get a job as a result of our recommendation of you to a member client. Then you pay us a small fee usually between 2.5-5% after you are hired. You can pay after you are paid or before. As such, our system is 100% risk fee.

Do you charge PROS fees for leads or membership?
No.

Does everybody qualify to be a PRO member of PROhomematch.com?
No. There are 3 qualification levels. These are reliability, competence and honesty. Obviously, not everyone is reliable, honest and competent.

Can PROS get free dedicated pages and promotions?
Yes. The PROS with the most hires and referrals from CLIENTS over a period of time will receive promotional exposure within and without our system.

But doesn't that mean the top PROS will get the most jobs?
No because we are making recommendations often and no PRO can do more than one job at once thus leaving room
for PROS to be included in referrals. Further, PROS with good referrals are eligible for free platform promotions.

But can a CLIENT reserve a PRO at availability in the future?
Yes.

How long will it take for a PRO to start to get referrals from us?
That will depend on the advertising cycle for the system, comments, availabilities, reviews and other inputs from both CLIENT and PRO. So it will be slow at first but should pick up as our system instantiates itself into the internet. As we said above, PROS lose nothing in expense and gain in exposure with each referral to each of our CLIENTS.

How many referrals can a Client receive at once?
Up to 3. The Client chooses whom she wants to hire. We send referrals until the CLIENT hires, but most clients hire a PRO in the first group we send them.

How do you brand PROS in your system?
By creating nicknames. Only when a CLIENT decides to talk to a PRO does the CLIENT learn his or her name.

How do you choose who gets referred?
We use three variables: 1. how close your skills match to what the Client wants, 2. what other CLIENTS have said about you, 3. your pictures, video and description of the job you did for the CLIENT. Your level is influenced by things like your years of experience, knowledge, credentials and what your references say about you and your work, reviews. Bottom line: sell yourself to us so we can sell you.

Can a PRO "turn off" availability for work?
Yes, on a dedicated page. We'd recommend not turning off the page, but only your availability which you can control.

Can people make recommendations on PRO applicants?
Yes. There is a question in the PRO form for this.

Will you give CLIENT contact information to PROS?
No. We give the CLIENT the PRO contact information--email address and/or telephone number--to the CLIENT. The CLIENT can then contact the PRO.

Do you have contracts?
No, but we do have terms of service and privacy policies, which both CLIENTS and PROS (members) have to agree to before using this site. Members can opt out of prohomematch.com anytime at no charge. This means CLIENTS will not receive PRO contact information upon recommendation.

Are members ever obligated in any way?
A PRO is obligated to pay the finder's fee for the job. Beyond that, there is no obligation excepting for any directly ordered individual promotions such as digital advertising, production or design work.

How do I get referred?
First, fill out your PRO member enrollment form above. We match your skills to the jobs the CLIENT wants done.
Be sure to include pictures and video if you have them.
